Roero is a very old zone, situated above the Tanaro River , in soils more suited to white grape varieties, such as the classic Arneis grape.

Grapes: 100% Roero Arneis
Vineyard: Marziano Abbona owns the vineyard, a 2.5 hectare vineyard on the historic and coveted hill, San Michele. The altitude is 450 meters with an exposition that is south-west. The vines are about 20 years old.
Harvest: In September by hand
Yield per hectare: 70 quintals per hectare
Vinification: In stainless steel at 28 °C under temperature controlled conditions. There is a
7 day maceration period on the skins. After malolactic fermentation, the wine
is racked and filtered.
Acidity: 5.5
Alcohol: 13% by vol.
Color: Straw yellow with greenish reflections.
Bouquet: Seductively aromatic with hints of tropical fruits and acacia flowers.
Taste: Generously full bodied with delicate fruit nuances. Its finish is long and
persistent with a touch of bitter almond.
Foods: Excellent with seafoods, shellfish and egg dishes

The wine is very unusual, being very prettily floral on the nose, quite complex with nice acidity and firm, dry structure.
