Elim Region
Black Oystercatcher wine, a rare gem of the region, is aptly named after the endangered ocean birds that thrive along the coastline. Birds that, like the Humans who have farmed here for generations, live long lives, have an incredible sense of family, are passionate and protective of their precious habitat, and cherish life. The Humans, unlike their feathered friends, also cherish fine South African wine A 70% tank and 30% French barrel fermented and aged Semillon (80%), Sauvignon Blanc (20%) blend. A pleasant nose of capsicum, tropical fruit, gooseberries and touches of ginger and lemon makes this a very distinctive wine. Full bodied, yet crisp and firm on the palate with enjoyable long finish.
