Stellenbosch Region

Jacques Borman established his own family winery in 1996, and it is situated near Stellenbosch proper, on the M12 near Kanu. He has been joined in the cellar by his son Reenen in 2011, who took himself off to the Rhone Valley to do a harvest in September 2010. Their strength lies in Shiraz and the Bordeaux varieties, and this wine is a bottling of the barrels that didn’t quite make it into the Conclusion Blend ( R245 ). It’s an absolute steal at the price. Medium bodied, ripe and round, with classic herbal notes and cassis, with plummy Merlot filling in all the gaps.
