Appropriately named Buitenverwachting, which means "beyond expectations", this stunning farm is steeped in history and forms part of the original Constantia Estate which was founded by Governor Simon van der Stel.

Rooted in deep, decomposing granite soils and cooled by temperate sea breezes from the nearby oceans, Buitenverwachting’s vines produce internationally acclaimed wines of great complexity with unique aromatic profiles.

This Bordeaux style blend consists of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. The wine offers rich red fruit characters reminiscent of ripe cherry and black currant with dark chocolate and tobacco undertones. Accolades include SAA First Class selection, Decanter Gold, 4.5 stars Wine Magazine, and Top Ten Trophy Wine Show.
