Hails from the Maipo Valley in Chile. Deeply fruity, floral nose, with spicy cherries and friendly oak. Juicy but dry and streamlined on the palate. The grapes for this Carménère were hand picked during the second week of May. Each parcel of the vineyard was harvested according to the ripening of the fruits. Afterwards a cold maceration took place in stainless steel tanks for two days. The fermentation was temperature controlled at a range of 27º to 30º Celsius, lasting for 24 days. Following a natural malolactic fermentation took place in barrels as well as in stainless steel tanks. 60% of the wine was kept in new French and American barrels for 10 months. The remaining wine was maintained in tanks in order to enhance its fruitiness. The wine is bottled unfiltered and was stored for three months before it has been released. Winemaking was in hands of Alvaro Espinoza and Juan Carlos Faundez.
