Darling Region

This beautiful Darling farm, owned by the Pentz family, is four thousand hectares in size. Whilst dairy farming and viticulture take up most of their time, they have also established a huge conservation area, and game drives and bird-watching can be arranged. Winemaker Lukas Wentzel has been tinkering with Riesling for some years now, and this vintage turned out superbly. The bouquet is typically fragrant, with honeysuckle and jasmine flowers abounding. A fresh, spicy palate that is exotically aromatic, redolent of dried peaches and ginger. Off-dry and well-rounded, it is a super accompaniment to food such as spicy Thai chicken or fish with coriander, ginger & chilli……. The alcohol level is only 11%, which is a great bonus when one looks for a lunchtime wine or welcome drink.
