THURSDAY 21st NOVEMBER: GONZALES BYASS SHERRY presented by Tarryn Vincent @ R225 p/p.
In 1835 the young Manuel María González Ángel founded González Byass and started a long, and passion-filled journey, dedicated to the world of Sherry. He found the support he needed, in his uncle José Ángel, Tío Pepe (Uncle Joe). He showed his nephew everything he knew about Fino wines, so much so that his name was given to the winery’s foundational solera, where today you can still read the name, “Solera del Tío Pepe”. Taste the following intriguing products from the house:
Tio Pepe Fino @ R337; 1847 Solera Sherry @ R327; Croft Original Fine Pale Cream @ R290; Vina AB Amontillado @ R363; Pedro Ximenez Nectar @ R275; Apostoles Palo Cortado @ R795; Amontillado del Duque @ R895; Matusalem Cream @ R895.
