“Deep, ruby-red hues with typical Cabernet aromas of tomato leaf, cassis, Fynbos shrub, fresh bouquet garni and a touch of graphite. The use of oalder
oak ensures that the primary focus on the mid palate is aimed at the bright raspberry- and plum fruit characters. The tannins are well integrated and
round. A medium-bodied wine with delicate flavours of plums, blackcurrants and fresh herbs on the dry finish.” – Winemaker

Atlas Swift, named for the Greek god who supported the pillars of the universe, is owned by Martin and Welma Smith, whose dreams became a reality in 2019 when the maiden vintage of Atlas Swift was born. All their wines are vinified in the same fashion, the ony difference being the origin of the grapes, and are produced in very limited quantities. Their ‘formal’ range consists of five Chardonnays, each exploring five different origins in the Western Cape. The female warrior on each label represents her territory. She is feisty in portraying the unique characteristics of the respective terroirs and the resulting wine.
