‘Some of the oldest Cinsault blocks in South Africa are to be found in Bottelary, this 1953 parcel being a prime example. Fermented with 50% whole clusters, it’s all about fruit rather than oak, with a sappy, crunchy palate of raspberry, bramble and pomegranate and an undertow of savoury tannins. 2025-30’ – Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2024
