Region: Pauillac
70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot
Perfectly located on parcels of vines that touch 2 of the first growths as well as Chateaux Pontet Canet, Armailhac, Lynch Bages and Pichon Comtesse. The property stands opposite the entrance to Mouton Rothschild. The soils are typical to the Pauillac appellation with deep gravel (great for filtration) giving the wine the “Pauillac power” and deep colour.
The plantation of the vineyard follows the pattern of the illustrious neighbours: planting the Cabernet Sauvignon in sandstone/gravel soils which deliver the powerful, complex nature of Pauillac and the Merlot in sand & light clay soils for the freshness. The spices come from the small % of Petit Verdot.
