Boschendal (Dutch for bush and dale) is one of the oldest Wine Estates in South Africa and is located between Franschhoek and Stellenbosch in South Africa’s Western Cape. This Iconic wine farm is nestled in one of the most picturesque valleys in the Cape Winelands. With a winemaking tradition spanning over 330 years, DGB-owned Boschendal Wine Estate is a national monument, with a rich and intriguing history.
Grapes for the Black Angus were harvested by hand and carefully sorted upon arrival at the cellar. All four varietals are vinified separately and after malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, barrel maturation followed in a combination of new and older 300-litre barrels for eighteen months. The wines were then blended and bottled in the new Boschendal Heritage bottle.
Blend: Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Malbec
