Set in the Drakenstein Valley surrounded by dramatic mountain landscapes, lush gardens and vines, the original farmstead complex is now a national monument with a rich and intriguing history of more than 300 years. Today, Boschendal is a Cape winelands icon and a cherished wine and food destination.
Boschendal Elgin Merlot 2017
R356.00
Region: Elgin
Tasting note:
“Typical cool climate Merlot, with understated yet refined varietal black and red fruit. Dark plum coloured rim, with ripe rich cherry and blueberry on the nose and hints of dark chocolate. A rich and elegant wine with strong berry and cherry flavours. Complex and deep reach on the palate with a linear tannin structure, and a fresh, lingering finish.” – Winemaker
