Region: Polkadraai, Stellenbosch
Boschkloof is situated in the Polkadraai Hills, just West of Stellenbosch, where Jacques Borman and his son Reenen, create superb wines from their tiny 19 hectare-vineyard holdings.
The medium, ruby-garnet colour leads to an aroma of wild cherry-like characters, laced with cedar and red flowers. On palate, it is smooth on entry, evolving into a medium to deep fruity flavour, firmed up by dry tannins. This wine is quite young still, so I recommend that you lay it down for a year, but it is enjoyable now.
Best enjoyed with a good rump steak, fried or braaied to perfection as you like it.
