The palate offers clarity and depth of fruit, bright acidity, and silky tannins. Luscious in the best sense, Borman’s deft touch allows the wine to carry its oak effortlessly, finishing with a refined dryness, a whisper of olive brine being the final impression (alc: 13.95%). Jacques Borman established his family winery, Boschkloof Wines in 1996 and was joined by his son, Reenen Borman, in 2010. Reenen produces some of South Africa’s most exciting wines and his accomplished hand and ever-increasing skills are especially impressive given his young age. Together, Jacques and Reenen focus on site-specific wines and aim to produce wines which express the soils their vineyards are grown in.
