Bosman Optenhorst Chenin Blanc 2022

Region: Wellington

Tasting note:

“This wine exudes enticing aromas of ripe orchard fruits, such as succulent baked apples and white pear. Hints of toased almonds, Fresh ginger and a delicate vanilla presence from the oak aging adds richness. The palate is beautifully balanced, with a luscious mouthfeel that showcases flavours of honeyed peaches and poached apricots. The subtle oak influence contributes a velvety creaminess. The wine’s vibrant acidity — retained in concrete tank – keeps the palate Fresh and lively.” – Winemaker

“Structured & linear, with great concentration & layered complexity, 2022 from 1952 dryland bushvines (4th oldest in Cape) exudes class & charm. Succulent stonefruit with notes of mulled honey, citrus zest & white nuts, all beautifully integrated. Wild yeast ferment in 50/50 concrete tank & older barrels.” – Platter Guide 2024 5*
