Cape Point Vineyards is a family owned, female driven vineyard, owned by Sybrand van der Spuy and located in Noordhoek on the Cape Peninsula, against the slopes of the famous Chapman’s Peak mountain range. It overlooks the nearby Atlantic Ocean about 1,2 kilometres away.
Grapes for this wine were hand-selected from 3 sea-facing vineyard parcels in the mid levels of the farm where a combination of the fresh breezes and decomposed granite soils result in a wine that has a distinct mineral edge. The grapes were hand picked between 22°B and 23°B in the early hours of the morning and whole bunch pressed. The juice is allowed to settle naturally over twelve hours. After fermentation the wine is left on the fermentation lees for fifteen months in old French Oak with regular mixing to enhance the mouth feel.
Blend: 75% Sauvignon Blanc, 25% Sémillon
