Catherine Marshall Pinot Noir (Clay Soils) 2018

Region:  Elgin

Cathy Marshall’s Pinot grapes are selected from the ultra cool Elgin Valley between Somerset West and Hermanus. The valley is located at an altitude of about 700 m above sea level and surrounded by a ring of mountains that results in a high annual precipitation and low average temperatures of around 19o Celsius.

Tasting Notes:

Broad, seductive compote of concentrated black cherries, mulberries and cranberries supported by mineral oak tannins. Powerful yet silky texture is seamlessly complex throughout.
