Origin: Mercurey, Burgundy
The grapes for this wine are grown in clayey and limestone soil with a limestone predominance.Three Premier Cru are declassified and blended with our village (Sazennay, Champs Martins and Clos Levêque). Grapes are harvested by hand then sorted and totally destemmed. Maceration is made and alcoholic fermentation lasts from 15 to 18 days in temperature- controlled vats, with punching of the cap. 100% is matured in oak barrels ( with 15 to 20 % of new barrels ) for a period ten months. Malolactic fermentation is 100 % realized. Wine is bottled in Traditional Burgundy bottles. The cork is marked with the estate’s name and the vintage.
A bright colour with purple hints. The elegant nose opens with intense fruity aromas; juicy spring cherry, raspberry and redcurrant. The wood is well integrated and express light notes of toasted almond.
The palate is full and fruity, with well balanced cherry and pinot aromas. Tannins are fine and delicate, smooth and persistent with lovely finish and length. Drink now until 2018.
