Founded in 1859 by journeyman cooper Jean-Edouard Dupard, the Domaine Jean Chartron has been handed down through five generations of the same family. Jean-Michel and Anne-Laure are the current custodians of the estate, with 14.5 hectares of vines producing 23 appellations on some of the best terroirs of Puligny-Montrachet and neighboring villages. The estate specializes in the vinification and ageing of great white Bourgogne wines, pressing and bottling its range of Premier Cru, Grand Cru, and Village wines.
Domaine Jean Chartron Puligny-Montrachet Vieilles Vignes 1er Cru 2020
R1,910.00
Region: Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru
Tasting note:
“This new blend of premier cru wines from Puligny-Montrachet provides a nose of crushed flint and the zest from fresh, citrus fruits. Very much in the style of
Puligny, you will be struck by the firm body with hints of bone matter, which will only further develop in the bottle. This wine can be decanted and served now or be left to mature for several years.” – Winemaker
