This wine pays tribute to a story of victory and resilience, courage, determination and faith. It honours a Queen who led the Jews – who at that time were under captivity by the Persian Kingdom – to an outstanding victory to overturn an order issued by their enemy to have the whole Jewish nation annihilated. HADASSAH is the first and traditional name of Queen Esther of Persia.
This is an elegant, vibrant, and expressive Pinot Noir from the Bonnievale, Robertson Area, made by Jaco Pienaar of the House of Hier Wines. The fruit is handpicked from several Arendsig blocks that are famous for resilient soils and perfect altitudes to receive fair amounts of rain. After spending forty five days in the tanks, the wine was moved to oak barrels for nine months before bottling. The wine has beautifully textured flavours and a rich finish.
