“Somesay 2022 has smooth tannins, soft acidity with fruit that follows the nose. This Cape wine is medium bodied and shy, but elegant that follows more of a European style with gentle oak influence that exudes ripe mulberry and blueberry aromas. Exotic spices of cinnamon and vanilla are also found on the nose. Earthly tones of leather and black pepper give the wine a classic, elegant, soft, balanced finish.” – Winemaker

Harry Hartman Wine Co. is a collaboration between friends, Marcel Hartman and Sean Harrison, who share a passion for wine. Their aim is to create small batch, unique wines which are reflective of their terroir and the people involved in the winemaking process. Their maiden releases featured a Syrah and a Bordeaux-styled red blend, with more varieties being produced and added to the collection in the future.

It seems there is some confusion as to whether it is Shiraz or Syrah. It is in fact the same grape varietal, a different style. Some say Shiraz, some say Syrah, we don’t really mind what you call it, as long as you enjoy it as much as we do.
