Established in 1685, and with over 340 years of winemaking, the 146 hectare Klein Constantia estate is situated in Constantiaberg region. Known for their iconic Vin de Constance – a wine of guaranteed longevity – it has graced the tables of kings and queens and been immortalised by the likes of Jane Austen, Charles Dickens and Alexander Dumas. Also known for their world-class sauvignon blanc, these wines are worth seeking out.
Fun fact: In 1997 Vin de Constance was chosen as one of the ‘greatest wines in the world’, 1 of only 3 from the southern hemisphere in David Cobbold’s The Great Wines and Vintages.
