In this boutique venture, as stellar as their separately listed Mullineux, husband and wife Chris and Andrea have partnered with businessmen Analjit Singh and Peter Dart for wines made from some of South Africa’s most venerable vines, the oldest planted in 1900. This partnership has opened the way for the Leeu Passant Winery, based in Franschhoek, but established with the purpose of harnessing the most exciting vineyards of the Cape – authentic wines unique to the culture, terroir, history and tastes of the Cape. So, while not all wines are from heritage pockets, with careful selection and distinctiveness in mind, spectacular and age worthy wines are guaranteed.
