Region: Helderberg, Stellenbosch
This single vineyard is planted on the loam-rich slopes of Helderberg Mountain. The site has a maritime influence contributing to the unique terroir of this part of Stellenbosch, and allowing us to harvest the fruit with incredible intensity of flavour and zesty freshness. The wine was naturally fermented and matured in tight grain French Oak barriques where it remained on its primary lees for a year after which it was blended and left for a further six months before bottling.
Aromas of yellow stone fruits with a hint of cloves. The textured palate has notes of peaches and lemon curd, with a touch of salinity and well-integrated oak, all balanced by a vibrant acidity. The finish is long with beautiful purity and length.
