Leeuwenkuil are privileged enough to have vineyards that produce large volumes of excellent quality grapes and at the same time strive to interfere as little as possible with their natural growth. Their continuous aim to cultivate the optimal taste profile from their vineyards allows them to present the world with only the best quality wines.
The Leeuwenkuil Reserve White 2017 is very elegant and deeply complex. It offers ample citrus, fine aromatics and a minerality that is not often found in the Swartland. In summary, this is one of the bargains of the year!
‘Stunning value, this new Reserve White is Chenin-based with 30% Grenache Blanc, Marsanne, Roussanne, Colombard and Chardonnay. It’s the sort of style that the Cape does better than anyone, with citrus and honeysuckle aromas, stony minerality, nuanced wood and mid-palate texture. 2018-23.’ – Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2018, 95/100
