MacRobert & Canals Paraje De La Virgen 2021

R1,018.00

Region: Rioja

Tasting note:

‘Paraje de la Virgen was planted in Lanciego in 1920 and is a classic field blend of mostly Tempranillo with around 5% each of Garnacha, Graciano, Malvasía and Viura. Very lightly wooded, as Bryan MacRobert’s wines generally are, this has plenty of grip, savoury tannins, herbal undertones and plum skin and damson fruit. 2024-30’ – Tim Atkin Master of Wine

‘On the nose we have red plum, blueberry and figs. On the palate the wine is smooth, delicate and tight. A very complex wine that has layers of complexity that slowly unfold in the glass.’ – Winemaker
