Descriptions:
Kaapzicht Skuinsberg Cinsaut 2021 – Lovely dense earthy savoury sun dried strawberry and bramble berry fruit nose. Full and fleshy, this is showy, bright and mouthwatering, displaying a crunchy edge, saline acidity and a fine sweet macerated red currant finish. Delicious. -Greg Sherwood MW
Illimis Cinsault 2021 – The 2021 vintage shows fynbos, turkish delight, rose petals and plenty of perfume on the nose. The palette is layered with red fruit, wild sage and savoury notes.
Piekenierskloof Cinsault 2020 – Red berries and cherries, savoury black olives and black spice. Well balanced with lively fine tannins and an elegant complexity on a long finish.
Darling Old Bush Vines Cinsaut 2019 – An irresistible, well balanced red wine, with a bright ruby red colour and sour cherries, red cherries and candy floss on the nose. The fruity palate is delicious with earthiness and flavours of white pepper followed by a fresh acidity on the pallet. Grape tannins very well supported by the oak tannins. The wine finishes with a long aftertaste.
B Vintners “Lone Wolf” Cinsault 2021 – It is a charming and eloquent expression of the variety. The nose shows cranberry, raspberry, and some red cherry notes, with a floral element that is underpinned by fragrant spices. It is light of touch on the palate but remains concentrated with bright acidity and powdery tannins, giving length to the dry finish.
Stellenbosch Vineyards Limited Release Cinsault 2018 – This wine explodes from the glass with red fruits and spicy fynbos undertones. This pallet is bright with crisp tannins and plenty of bright acids. There’s wonderful inner mouth perfume married to a light, elegant mouth feel.
