Tasting note:

Deep black-ruby colour. Intense aroma of Bordeaux varietals – cassis, dark berrry fruits, rosemary and pencil shavings. On flavour, it fills the mouthwith plummy juiciness, earthy depth and a hint of cigar-box. Complex and balanced with a streamlined texture. Although still youthful, it will evolve into a brilliant wine by 2029.

Food pairing:

Excellent with rosemary-infused lamb or grilled rump, fillet or sirloin.

The story of Nederburg is one of dreams disappointments, sorrows and successes that for more than 200 years have made up the lives of the many men and women who have lived loved and laboured there. With the first vineyards planted around 1791 the founders of Nederburg were people of tremendous vision strength and courage – people who developed Nederburg from a bare patch of wilderness into one of South Africa’s most eminent wine farms.

The Manor House ultra-premium collection comprises single varietal wines made from some of Nederburg’s best-of-best fruit, inspired by the beautifully proportioned Cape Dutch manor house built in 1800 by Nederburg’s founder, Philippus Wolvaart. This wine is made entirely from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.
