Noble Hill Simonskop Chenin Blanc 2022

Noble Hill Wine estate, a family-owned estate on the Paarl side of the majestic Simonsberg mountain gives further evidence of its ambitious progress towards a convincing ‘lightness, freshness and elegance’ in expressing the ripeness of those sunny granitic slopes. A striving to minimal intervention in the winery (which last year welcomed its first locally handmade earthenware fermentation pots) has its counterpart in the vineyards, which delivered their maiden certified organic crops in the 2022 vineyard. ‘Our continuous investment in soil health accumulates slowly and steadily’, says co-owner and winemaker-viticulturist Kristopher Tillery. The wider context is further work on rehabilitating several hectares of indigenous vegetation, establishing uninterrupted flora and fauna corridors on the estate.
