From the oldest Chardonnay on the farm, and some of the oldest vineyards in South Africa at 27 years, this contains half of the vineyard that produces the famous CWG Wagon Trail Chardonnay.
The wine shows amazing depth, finesse and Burgundian elegance. Medium to full bodied, the palate is loaded with white pear and citrus, supported by a fine flinty edge. It’s slightly fatter than the Wagon Trail, but the oak is just as well integrated. Incredibly long, layered finish. Very few Chardonnays in the New World have this beautiful mineral sparkle, and it is perhaps South Africa’s best Chardonnay
