“Intense, almost impenetrable red colour. Nose dominated more by Syrah, Nero d’Avola more on the palate. Aromas of tropical atmospheres, teak wood, cocoa, white pepper, with a hint of juniper and Sicilian oregano. Slightly tannic on the palate but without excess, the texture is dense, but more on freshness and menthol. Well integrated wood.” – Winemaker

Serra Ferdinandea is a dream made in Sicily.
Anyone who knows the history and culture of Sicily and France, is aware of their connection from the Norman Kings, down to Voltaire and Sciascia. The same is true in viticulture, with frequent exchanges of varieties and techniques.
This project is going to renew that connexion and give life to an eminently Sicilian company, adding a decidedly French touch to our extensive knowledge of the island’s viticulture and oenology.
This is all achieved through the common vision of two families: the Planetas from Sicily and the Oddos of France, partners in this entrepreneurial challenge, managed with sharing and complementarity, friendship and passion: made from the same stuff that dreams are made of.
