Super Single Vineyards Pella Thomas se Dolland Pinotage 2021

Daniël de Waal’s boutique winery, Super Single Vineyards, is tucked away in a quiet valley of Stellenboschkloof on Canettevallei – an old wine and lavender family farm dating back to 1682.
Super Single Vineyards focuses on the production of handcrafted wines from specially selected single vineyards throughout the Western Cape. The name Pella means ‘place of gathering’ which refers to the union of terroir and vines. Pella wines are produced from vineyards in the Coastal Region.
This Pinotage hails from a north-facing vineyard, situated on a hill and planted in soil that is rich in clay. These dry land bush vines, planted in 1960, can survive the dry summer months in Stellenbosch. The vineyard was named after Thomas, who worked the soil with only horse and plough – his tenacity lives on.
