Jasper Wickens, previously the assistant winemaker at Badenhorst Family Wines, has built up a following in a very short time – and for good reason. This Young Gun has a deft touch and his wines are always measured, typically ‘Swartland’ and, most of all, delicious! He established Swerwer in 2012 and the name, he says, ‘describes the lives of many young winemakers chasing the vintages across the globe.’
