“The wine displays a beautiful deep plum-red colour with a red brick rim. Notes of wild bramble fruit and ripe prune are evident on the nose, with hints of dried herbs and underlying notes of toasted oak and vanilla. The entry on the palate is smooth and packed with blue and red fruit flavours. The tannins are finely textured, and the finish is crisp and clean with lingering notes of dried herbs and pepper spice.” – Winemaker

Businessmen Les Sweidan and Mike Church founded their boutique winery twenty years ago with the intention of taking the high road in four main areas of focus: grape variety, origin, use of French oak and honest business practice. Their emphasis is on Cabernet and blends with the ‘king’ of red-wine grapes, sourced from Stellenbosch, an area synonymous with the variety. Guided by their consultant winemakers for the past fifteen vintages, they have succeeded in producing exceptional vintage-specific wines with the elegance, intrinsic depth and distinction of a classic Bordeaux red at their core. The epitome of Bordeaux, yet expressing a sense of place that is uniquely Stellenbosch.

Blend: 41 % Merlot, 30 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 15 % Cabernet Franc, 8 % Petit Verdot and 6 % Malbec
