The Waterford Antigo 2021 is vibrant and generous, offeringnotes of plush red currants, subtle tobacco, and oak sweetness on the nose. Thepalate mirrors this generosity, with acidity providing a lively balance to thewine’s exceptional plush structure. Gentle tannins carry the sweeter red fruit flavours,leading to a lingering, textured finish.

The Waterford Estate is located in Blaauwklippen Valley in Stellenbosch. Of their 120-hectares, only half is plated with vines to allow for the preservation of the natural fauna and flora found on the estate. Waterford is owned by the Ord Family with Kevin Arnold as the Cellar Master and Managing Director. Decades of experience at Delheim and Rust en Vrede led Kevin to the prime Waterford Estate on the slopes of the Helderberg, where after much research, he planted a basket of Mediterranean varieties.
The Waterford Antigo takes its name from the colour of the soils in which the specific Cabernet Sauvignon Vineyard, that makes up majority of the blend, is planted.
Blend: 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot, and 4%Merlot
