Just 3km north of Château Margaux and to the east of Paveil de Luze, stands a hidden 0.45 hectare parcel of 70+ year old Merlot vines. They have been in the Boissenot family for longer than anybody can remember and they make 1200 bottles of this, their private wine. Read more

The wine is familiar, in that it tastes like one of the finest Grands Crus from Bordeaux, whilst at the same time being impossible to place due to its unique Margaux content of 100% Merlot. Dark fruit fills the palate and velvety tannins round off this elegant beauty.

The vineyard is just 2.5 Ha in size and is 55+ years old. The Château le Chapelle des Landes soils and sub-soils are located on the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation zone.

Beautiful deep purple colour. Bouquet complex and rich with notes of sweet spices, brioche mixed with the scents of black fruits. On palate it is a generous fleshy wine with integrated tannins and super oak vanillins in the background. Drink from now until 2030. Read more
